How much does SEO cost in Southwest Florida?
Published prices in the region range from small monthly bundles to national agency retainers. Here is what each tier usually includes, what an in-house hire costs, and how we put together a quote.
SEO in Southwest Florida usually costs anywhere from a small monthly bundle to several thousand dollars a month, depending on how competitive your industry is and how many cities you target. We quote after a free review, so you pay for the work your market needs and nothing more.
What the Southwest Florida market charges
We reviewed the published pricing of providers serving the region in October 2026. Prices clustered at two ends, with very little in between.
| Type of provider | Published range | What it usually covers |
|---|---|---|
| Bundled website and local SEO plans | About $250 to $500 per month | A template website, hosting and basic listing work. Little custom content or strategy. |
| National agencies with SWFL city pages | About $1,500 to $5,000 or more per month | Full SEO programs, often run from outside Florida with city names swapped into templates. |
| Regional specialists | Rarely published | Custom plans built around the cities and services that matter to you. |
For context, an Ahrefs survey of SEO providers found an average retainer of about $2,917 per month, with providers focused on local markets averaging about $1,557.
Agency or in-house?
Hiring your own SEO specialist is an option for larger businesses. A Robert Half listing for an SEO specialist role in Cape Coral showed a salary range of about $61,380 to $83,468 a year, before benefits, software and training. One person also rarely covers design, development, content and link building on their own.
| In-house hire | Outside team | |
|---|---|---|
| Cost structure | Salary plus benefits and tools | Monthly fee for agreed deliverables |
| Skills | One person's strengths | SEO, content, development and design |
| Best for | Large sites with constant needs | Local and regional businesses |
What changes the price of SEO
- Number of cities. Ranking in Punta Gorda alone is a smaller job than ranking from Port Charlotte to Fort Myers.
- Number of locations. Each real office or showroom needs its own profile, page and reviews.
- Competition. Legal, medical and home services searches in Lee and Sarasota counties take more work than quieter niches.
- Website condition. A slow or outdated site may need fixing before SEO can pay off.
How we quote
We start with a free review, then send a written plan listing the cities we will target, the monthly deliverables, how we will report and a fixed fee. Websites and landing pages are quoted as fixed projects. Learn more about local SEO, multi-location SEO and web design.
Pricing questions
Are cheap monthly website and SEO bundles worth it?
They can suit a brand-new business that just needs a simple site and a basic listing. The trade-off is usually limited content, shared templates and little strategy. If you compete for valuable searches in Fort Myers, Cape Coral or Sarasota, a bundle rarely covers the work needed to win them.
Should we hire an in-house SEO instead of an agency?
An in-house specialist makes sense for larger companies with constant content and technical needs. For most local businesses, a full-time salary costs more than outside help and still leaves gaps in design, development and link building.
Why do you quote instead of listing packages?
Because the work depends on your competition and how many cities you want to reach. A single-location shop in LaBelle and a contractor covering three counties need very different plans. We review first so the quote matches the job.
Do you require long contracts?
We explain the commitment, if any, in your written proposal before you agree to anything, so there are no surprises.
How do website prices work?
Websites are quoted as a fixed project based on the number of pages, design work, features such as booking or online sales, and how much content we write. Ongoing care is quoted separately.
